MAKE A DIFFERENCE

2024/2025 Summer Camp

A Summer Golf Camp focused on improving all aspects of the game - mental, physical, tactical, and competitive - a comprehensive program for golfers looking to take their skills to the next level.

Here is an outline of the Program

1. Mental Game Development

  • Visualization Techniques: Players will learn how to visualize successful shots and outcomes, helping them stay calm under pressure.

  • Focus and Concentration Drills: Exercises to enhance attention during rounds, staying in the present moment rather than being distracted by past mistakes or future outcomes.

  • Mental Toughness and Resilience: Learning how to manage frustration, stay positive after bad shots, and maintain motivation throughout a round.

  • Course Management: Teaching golfers to think strategically, selecting shots that play to their strengths and minimize risks.

2. Physical Conditioning

  • Golf-Specific Fitness: Daily sessions focusing on flexibility, strength, and endurance, with exercises targeting golf muscles (core, shoulders, legs, and arms).

  • Flexibility and Mobility: Stretching routines to increase range of motion and reduce the risk of injury, focusing on the golf swing’s rotational movements.

  • Strength Training: Exercises to improve stability, balance, and power, essential for generating consistent swing speed.

  • Endurance Training: Cardio drills to improve stamina for longer rounds, helping players maintain peak performance throughout.

3. Tactical Skill Building

  • Course Strategy: In-depth sessions on how to analyze different course layouts, playing conditions, and how to create an effective game plan.

  • Shot Selection and Club Choices: Learn how to choose the right shot in different situations—whether to attack a flag or play conservatively.

  • Short Game Mastery: Putting, chipping, and pitching around the green to gain confidence in scoring. Emphasizing touch and feel for better scoring in tricky situations.

  • Full-Swing Refinement: Swing mechanics are taught to increase consistency, accuracy, and distance control.

4. Competitive Preparation

  • Simulated Tournaments: Competitive rounds against other campers to build confidence and experience pressure situations. Players will practice managing nerves, handling expectations, and staying focused during tournament play.

  • Post-Round Analysis: Feedback from coaches on how to adjust for better performance, including reviewing shot selection, mental focus, and course management.

  • Rules and Etiquette: A focus on golf rules, conduct on and off the course, and understanding how to act in competitive settings.
